mischiefmayhemsoap:

every time i hit the floor

my beating heart just asks for more

the music makes me feel alive

this is the only way i can survive

dancing is my way of evening the score

So, raise the candles high. Raise them higher again.

there comes a time when we need to stand up and show what kind of power we each have inside us. this takes so much time and effort. it drains us mentally and physically but at the end of the road, it was worth the fucking fight. we have to stand up against the bullshit we’re fed. we have to push ourselves into seeing what life is really all about. we have to go through pain just so we can find out why we’re alive. we have to fight against the ones that tell us we’re worthless. we have to prove to each other that together we can shake the grounds we stand on. we have to scream our songs of peace and war and freedom. we have to set ourselves apart from crap and finally stand up against it. this is our generation. we need to prove to everyone that no, we’re not a generation of no revolution. the past generations fought for freedom of expression. now that our generation has the power of expression we have to stand up for the SHIT that society and media feeds us.

Lay down lay down
Lay it all down
Let your white birds smile up
At the ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down
Lay it all down
Let your white birds smile up
At the ones who stand and frown

We were so close there was no room
We bled inside each others’ wounds
We all had caught the same disease
And we all sang the songs of peace

What if I told you were stupid, destructive, soulless
Callous, murderous, malignant, belligerent, ignorant
Would you believe me would you like that
Or would you prove me wrong and fight back
I’d like to take the sunshine right from the sky
And let it shine on you through my eyes
You see we all in the same boat trying to float
So everybody grab a oar we can make it to shore

Some came to sing
Some came to pray
Some came to keep the dark away
So raise the candles high
‘Cause if you don’t we could stay
Black against the night
So raise them higher again
And if you do we could stay dry against the rain

Secrets by One Republic

My God, amazing how we got this far
It’s like were chasing all those stars
Who’s driving shiny big black cars

And everyday I see the news
All the problems we could solve
And when a situation rises
Just write it into an album
I don’t really like my flow, no, so

Got no reason
Got no shame
Got no family
I can blame
Just don’t let me disappear
I’mma tell you everything

Introduction

We each have those days when we feel like we just don’t matter because we feel like people don’t hear us. We feel like no one is listening when we hurt and suffer from our own thoughts. All we can think about is how alone we are and it’s never going to change.

You are not alone.

You can tell us that no one understands you. You can tell us that no one understands your pain. You can tell us that you’re scared to share your stories because you’re afraid that people will judge you. You can tell us that it’s “too heavy” for others to know. Let me tell you this, you are not alone in that. We all feel that and there are people in this planet who are willing to hear you out because they NEED to know that there is another person in this world who feels the same way they do. We need to know that we can fight this pain and suffering that we go through with just the fact that you can talk about your story with me and i can tell you my own story.

All we need is your support, your love and care, your sympathy and compassion. The truth that these stories stay within your hearts and minds. WE need you as much as YOU need US. We need to know that together, we are not giving up on our lives, that we will live OUR lives in helping hands and hearts.

SOMEONE OUT THERE UNDERSTANDS.

This is a cry for help.
This is a shout for freedom.
This is a STAND.
This is our power.

We have the power to save someone else. We have the power to change someone’s life. It’s time to move. It’s time to let down our prides. It’s time to tell the world that we don’t regret who we are. It’s time to show the world what we can do together and for each other.

Closer To The Edge - 30 seconds to Mars

we need more music that will help us realize why we’re still alive today. despite the difficulties/challenges we go through.

we need to hear what other ppl think, what other ppl do to help themselves get through the hardships they go through because with just that, it can help us see through our own pains. we can come together and help each other out when we’re all closest to our edges.we all lose ourselves once in our lives and we need that pull, that motivation, we need EACH OTHER, to get back on track. WE SHOULD NEVER FORGET TO LIVE OUR LIVES. NEVER BE SORRY THAT WE WANT TO LIVE OUR LIVES.

I don’t remember a moment I tried to forget
I lost myself, is it better not said
I’m closer to the edge

It was a thousand to one and a million to two
Time to go down in flames and I’m taking you
Closer to the edge

No I’m not saying I’m sorry
One day maybe we’ll meet again
No I’m not saying I’m sorry
One day maybe we’ll meet again
No no no no

Can you imagine a time when the truth ran free?
The birth of a song, the death of a dream
Closer to the edge

This never ending story take forward pride in fate
We all fall short of glory
Lost in ourselves

No no no no
I will never forget
No no
I will never regret
No no
I will live my life
